Writing in another candidate isn't going to accomplish anything, in my opinion. One of them is going to be our president - there's nothing you can do to change that. You might as well research both of them and their policies, figure out which you believe to be the lesser of two evils/incompetents and cast your vote for him.

Eve Samborn of Washington University has an excellent article in today's Student Life titled "Why host the debate on a college campus?". She highlights why this presidential election is one of the most important events of our time. Here is an excerpt from her article: "Right now, that world is looking pretty bleak. The economy is rapidly collapsing; the environment is deteriorating; the inequality gap is widening and America’s standing in the world is substantially weaker than it was eight years ago. For the first time in American history, a generation of young adults may face a lower standard of living than the generation before them. Tonight our vice presidential candidates need to explain how they and their running mates will reverse these trends." Watch the VP debates tonight, if you have not already registered to vote, register and when election day comes around vote!

I agree with Nina and Jackie in that we have two bad choices, but at the same time writing-in would be tantamount to throwing your vote away. I think the Obama, Biden camp is the lessor of two evils, especially given the state of the economy. We have seen what a mess 8 years of republican administration has done to our country. I don't know that Obama is any better, but I have to believe he can't be any worse. He would literally need to have a Phd in screwing up to do any worse than George Bush and Dick Cheney. I really don't think it is any possible to do worse.

Granted I feel the same way, and we were left to make a decision between the two, and America has decided.
