Nice Lunch Options

Anyone know of any nice restaurants around Tufts that are slightly upscale and serve lunch? Its ok if its only accessible by car.

Tu Y Yo on the Powderhouse Rotary serves amazing Mexican food--genuine Mexican food that is, not Tex-Mex. They even have a sign on their door saying "We do NOT serve burritos" as burritos don't actually exist in Mexico :)

I wouldn't call East Asia upscale but it is delicious for Thai food. Also it is right by the rotary.

I think Johnny D's serves a pretty good lunch.. it might not be as upscale as you're thinking, but it's right in Davis.

There's also really good Thai food in Porter Square. It's called Sugar and Spice.

Frank's is a steak house on Mass Ave in Cambridge. If you go to the TAB (Tufts Administrative building) and up Cameron Ave, across from it, you get to Mass Ave at the end. Frank's is to the left, number 2310. I went there with my family before, and it was good. Here's the website: http://www.frankssteakhouse.com/index.html

Elephant Walk, right before Porter on Mass ave is really nice, but I don't know if it's open for lunch. If you have time the Top of the Pru in Boston has a really nice lunch. I'd recommend that.

go to gargoyles on the square in davis square... it's really good and very expensive/upscale.

daves fresh pasta is unreal. great sandwiches, salads and other stuff. Little known place in Davis Square (Wine shop too!) Continue past Johnny Ds and it's on Elm St.

According to gargoyle's website, they don't serve lunch

They're not too upscale, but I think both Diva and Namaskar serve lunch.

Diva Bistro has great indian food. Not too expensive, has open-air seating when it's nice out. They're open from 11:30 am to 11:00 pm everyday.
