single room, shared bathroom. Three other girls in the apartment.
It's good to know retailers are needing customers to buy from them. The prices they have on some of their items are simpy unbelievable, especially on TVs. Too bad I can't afford that sort of stuff at the moment, but I'd have to say that the clothing sales are really unbelieavable.
I am staying in San Diego for Thanksgiving. Are there any good options for stuff to do? (other than the watching the parade on TV. . . . ).
I've been watching CNN a lot lately and people like Lou Dobbs and Campbell Brown are so judgemental. I thought news anchors were supposed to be unbiased, now we have newspapers endorsing presidential candidates. Whats wrong with the media nowadays?
Do any of you guys know about or have taken anatomy at one of the local JCs in San Diego? How is it?
The Senate races are looking really close right about now. I'm glad Georgia has a 50% rule, maybe with the second round and Obama's influence the Democratic contender can win? As with with the Minnesota race, and a 300 vote difference, I really think they should hold another election. How do you guys feel about the Democrats hitting the 60 seat mark? Good or bad for the nation?
I'm a fairly liberal guy but I side with the Republicans about how the bailout plan is a slippery slope. Honestly I think that if the big three car manufacturers are going to get money, other companies are going to be lining up for the same. The aviation industry, maybe even oil companies?
This is ridiculous, I think no matter what some companies are going to go belly up. Bailing out every company would not be good for us taxpayers. Henry Paulson's say in not wanting to invest in bad assets of the banks but the bank themselves was a good call I think.
How much do you guys surf the internet while on your laptop in class? I try to stay away from it but when times are hard I usually check my email, see whats going with politics, and sometimes read random wikipedia stuff
Everytime I eat this stuff I feel great at first then like crap later on. How often do you guys eat this stuff? For less than 50 cents a pop and only 3 minutes to cook I don't know of anything else that really fits well with the lifestyle of a busy, not to mention, poor college student =(
Are there any retailers in partciular that hire associates only for the winter season, specfically only during winter break?
I was driving thorugh Los Angeles and saw a sky that was brown. It looked like a dust cloud overwhelmed the city and it felt eerie as heck. Anyone see LA in persion this weekend?
I always thought that the way my parents acted were a bit old school at times but after learning of this site its really more of a cultural thing and not specfically my parents. At any rate, Asian parents or not this is a hilarious site:
mymomisafob.com, actually blogged by a UCSD student I think
Joe Biden seem like a great guy and has tons of experience on foreign relations. But I recently read up that Obama didn't really consider her for the ticket with him, which I find very sad but sensible, at least at the time. She bashed him hard and it would be a very strong ridiculing point for the McCain/Palin camp.
If the McCain camp was able to replay Hilary's comments on Obama during the primary had Obama let her on the ticket I think it would have greatly hurt Obama's chances of winning the election. Do you guys agree or disagree?
Would going from a senator to secretary of state be an "upgrade"?
I've done 3 days when I had midterms one after another. You guys?
Just checked out the latest from BFads.net. Everything can be found cheaper online. I really think with the economic slump and the crappy deals that there isn't going to be much of a line for Black Friday this year.
Check out this blog post!
i got myself an older phone, all it does is text and receive calls. Web browsing sucks on it because of the small screen. Do you guys own a smart phone and if so do you pay for the internet as well?
Lets name off the jobs from hell. I'll start: sales rep at AE during the xmas season.
I personally think that with our tax dollars going into these companies the executives shouldn't be paid bonuses, at least not very lucrative ones. Some people make the argument that if one doesn't hand out bonuses the executives won't perform as well. What do you guys think?

The UCSD finals schedule is available via the Tritonlink website. Typically, finals schedules are available when class schedules are available for the next quarter (Friday of 5th week prior to the quarter in question). The final schedule should also be available by clicking on 'Final Planner' on Webreg. The current link for the finals planner can be found here.
Room assignments for final exams are available by 9th week of the current quarter.
Final exams are customarily administered Monday - Friday, with the exception of Fall 2007. The exam for MWF 4pm classes will be administered on Saturday afternoon.
In your opinion, Chemistry 6a,b, and c, which one is the hardest?
I was wondering if anyone knew of any easy upper division classes. I need to boost up my GPA and use it for my GED at Warren.
Any ideas or advice would be great! Thanks!
Any recommendations for some fun, interesting, and hopefully easy classes I could take as an elective?
Are summer session classes harder than normal classes, or do they just seem hard because of how fast they are?
To be more nutritionally educated, is to know that consuming large portions of food at night is not the best way to avoid the bulge that college eating can often result in. Staying up late to write papers in one thing, but eating right before you go to bed is not the healthiest way to maintain your calorie intake. The best strategy for healthy eating is to consume most of your calories before about 7pm, so you can actively burn them off before you go to sleep and your body shuts down. Also, eating large portions of food every day is a strain on your wallet. Eat smaller meals and eat more frequently during the day rather than right before you sleep. I've noticed that a lot students where I go still talk about eating dinner really late, and how bad that is for their health. Can anyone offer any other information, or better yet, share any tips for healthier eating strategies that they personally use?
I vote Vista
I need a good car mechanic who'll be able to make some minor and not-so-minor repairs. The CarTalk page wasn't terribly helpful, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a trustworthy place?
Hello, My name is Belen. My roommate and I are looking for a place to stay for Fall qtr (2007). We will be going abroad in the winter and only need a place for three months. We are a friendly duo willing to share a room. Is there anything available?
Does anybody know of a good Dentist near campus?
Hey, I would love to find some people who are into geocaching. Anyone out there who wants to go treasure-hunting?
